Responding to a housing offer
When an available housing matches your criteria and seniority, we will send you a housing offer that you need to respond to, letting us know if you want the apartment or not.
How do I respond to a housing offer?
If you have signed up for our online self-service Mit KAB (Danish only), you can login and respond with a single click.
You can also fill out and sign the form you received with the housing offer. The form can either be scanned/photographed and e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or sent by regular post to KAB, Vester Voldgade 17, 1552 København V.
When will I know if I get to rent the apartment?
If you say yes to a housing offer, you are not guaranteed the apartment. The housing offer is sent to several people on the waiting list and will be offered to the one with highest seniority.
If we have not phoned you within 4 days after the deadline for responses, someone else with more seniority has been offered the apartment.
Can I decline a housing offer?
Yes, you do not have to accept a housing offer, but if you reject an offer several times, we will pause your waiting list number. You keep your seniority on the waiting list, but you will not receive any housing offers, until your waiting list number is reactivated.
If you receive offers that you are not interested in, you should revise your criteria and the housing departments you are applying for to make sure you will only be offered housing that you are interested in.
Be aware that the rules for declining student housing are different and you cannot decline more than twice.
